Lisa has worked with teenage girls and women since 1984 in a variety of settings and she has seen and heard just about everything that impacts women in our culture today. She has served as a youth minister, a director of a crisis pregnancy center, a minister to women, and president of the Junior League of Plano, a Collin County all-women volunteer organization with nearly 1000 members.
Lisa served as the Community Relations Director for Plano Profile magazine, from 2005-2007; she continues to be a contributing writer for the magazine. From 2007-2009, Lisa served as the Community Relations Director for Need Him Ministries, an international evangelism ministry based in Plano. Additionally, from June-December 2009, Lisa served as the Interim Executive Director for Leadership Plano, a program of the Plano Chamber of Commerce.
In June 2010, Lisa founded Seasons of Sabbath ministry, days that provide an opportunity for women to unplug from their daily activities and seek solitude, rest, and refreshment. She also works with ProvenWay Ministries as a Premier Presenter and oversees an aspect of their equipping ministry called blend.
Among her other activities, Lisa serves on the Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano - Board of Trustees; is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Plano where she was awarded “Sustainer of the Year” in 2008; and she serves on several Collin County social services/nonprofit advisory boards. She was cited as one of the “21 for the 21st Century” by Inside Collin County Business; honored as a “Civic Leadership Volunteer of the Year” by the Volunteer Center of Collin County; and named as one of the inaugural “Mentors of the Year” by the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center. Lisa is a graduate of Leadership Plano (Class 19, 2001-2002) and Leadership Allen (Class 18, 2006-2007).
As part of her professional and volunteer work, Lisa is a frequent guest speaker at women’s retreats and community luncheons; she is a trained and certified Meeting Facilitator and Trainer (through Interaction Associates) and has provided team building and development opportunities for a variety of organizations and businesses including:

In her spare time, you will usually find Lisa and her husband, Scott, with their family and friends. They enjoy babysitting Reilly and Ryan, their neices, one weekend a month (and, yes, Lisa’s sister and brother-in-law do know that they are the BEST aunt and uncle in the world!). Lisa enjoys teaching Bible studies, reading, party planning & hosting, home decorating, and going to movies.
She holds a BA from the University of Tennessee, and a Master of Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth. Lisa and Scott were married in 1985, and have lived in Texas ever since!
