The television blares in the background, sirens wail, and our neighbor's stereo blasts. We sit at work in a sea of cubicles among nonstop chatter and chaos. In the midst of all this upheaval, it is very easy to forget to "be still".
These Seasons of Sabbath days offer women an opportunity to unplug from their daily activities. From their phones, computers, obligations, and the clamor for attention. To seek quiet. To be still. To listen to God, our Creator and Lord.
Springhill Retreat Center includes 50 wooded acres reminiscent of the Texas Hill Country, with a limestone-lined, spring-fed creek flowing through the woods and three large ponds surrounded by beautiful native trees and foliage. In addition to the grounds, participants may take advantage of the comfortable lodge, the quiet prayer chapel, and the rustic outdoor chapel. Located in Richardson, Texas, just minutes east of Central Expressway and south of the President George Bush Turnpike, Springhill is easy to find, yet is a quiet haven from the surrounding hustle and bustle of everyday life.
